After completing the required coursework and meeting program progression requirements, students continue to Goldfarb School of Nursing to complete the Upper-Division track and earn their BSN.

How the Pathway Works
Years 1–2: Webster University
- Students complete foundational science, biology and general education coursework while beginning their college experience on Webster’s campus.

Students apply through Webster University. Admission is expected to be rolling, but space in the Direct Admit BSN pathway is limited, so students are encouraged to apply early.
Students must complete the required Webster coursework and meet program progression requirements before continuing to Goldfarb.
Students may be eligible for Webster University scholarships during their Webster coursework and Goldfarb scholarship opportunities during their nursing coursework.

FAQs About the Direct Admit BSN Program
In many 2+2 nursing programs, students spend their first two years completing prerequisites and then apply separately to a nursing program. Admission to that next step may be competitive and is not always guaranteed.
With the Direct Admit BSN pathway, students begin with a clearer path to nursing from day one. Students start at Webster and, after completing the required coursework and meeting program progression requirements, continue to Goldfarb to complete their BSN.
Direct admit means students are admitted into the nursing pathway at the start of their college experience instead of waiting until later to apply to nursing school.
Students must still meet academic and program requirements to continue to Goldfarb.
Goldfarb reserves seats for eligible Direct Admit BSN students who complete the required Webster coursework and meet Goldfarb’s academic and program requirements.
Students must stay on track academically, complete required program steps and meet all requirements before beginning upper-division nursing coursework at Goldfarb.
Students apply to Webster University for admission to the Direct Admit BSN pathway. Students will also complete a Goldfarb application step during their first 15 college-level credit hours at Webster.
This step is part of the Direct Admit BSN process. Eligible students must complete required coursework and meet all academic and program requirements before beginning upper-division nursing coursework at Goldfarb.
Required prerequisite courses must be completed with a final grade of C or higher. Students must also meet GPA, progression and program requirements set by Webster University and Goldfarb School of Nursing.
Students who do not meet the progression requirements for the Direct Admit BSN pathway will work with Webster advisors to understand their options and next steps.
Depending on the student’s coursework and goals, options may include continuing in Webster’s 2+2 nursing pathway, pursuing another Webster academic program or exploring other health-related pathways.
